This will be the 11th edition of our Festival, and we continue to promote the best of the Azores sea through gastronomy, maintaining our motto \u2013 Tradition & Innovation \u2013 and this edition brings us some new features (see below).<\/p>\n

The Fish Broth Festival is an event created so that all visitors can experience the gastronomic tradition of tasting fish broths and soups made with ancestral knowledge passed down from generation to generation by fishermen’s guilds and associations, as well as sampling innovations in modern cuisine using fish from the Azores (especially species of low commercial value).<\/p>\n

Located in the village of Rabo de Peixe, a place known for its fishing port, this festival attracts visitors not only from the island and the region, but also, year after year, from all those who visit us in the region.<\/p>\n

Always thinking about sustainability and its three dimensions, the Festival, in its social dimension, seeks to have an impact by promoting gender equality \u2013 always striving to equalise the number of male and female staff members. In its economic dimension, it promotes the value of fish \u2013 boosting fishermen’s earnings \u2013 and finally, in its environmental dimension, it promotes the fight against non-reusable plastic.<\/p>\n

The festival brings joy back to the village of Rabo de Peixe and, above all, introduces visitors to the freshest fish in the world and our traditions.<\/p>\n
